In the Past, Lectures Were the Traditional Method of Teaching Large Numbers of Students in A Classroom

In the past, lectures were the traditional method of teaching large numbers of students in a classroom. Nowadays new technology is increasingly being used to teach students. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach in teaching?

Undoubtedly, education plays an indispensable role in our life. There were some old methods of teaching in the old days, but in the modern era, new methods are booming day by day. I will shed light on the benefits and drawbacks of these new methods in academics.

To commence with, there is some advantage of new methods of teaching. The first and foremost is that online education is very helpful. Students can gain education directly from their homes. There is no need to go to school. For example, it is very helpful in the corona pandemic. It is beneficial for students’ and teachers’ health and education. Secondly, as compared to past nowadays level of technology is increased. With the help of new technology, students can get practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge. According to a survey of 2018, new students have more practical knowledge as compared to old students.

As every coin has two sides, in the same way, there are some drawbacks to these new teaching methods. The first and foremost disadvantage is that in past days, all students were obtained education from offline classes, and teachers could obsess all students and tell them about their weaker section. Tutors gave more attention to weak students. But in online classes, students don’t give proper focus on studies. Sometimes, they join the online class but do other work. According to a survey, those students have more knowledge who studies throw offline classes as compared to online students. Secondly, new modes of education are very expensive, which is not friendly for everyone’s pocket. People related to below the poverty line can’t afford it.

In conclusion, there are some advantages and disadvantages of this phenomenon; it is helpful in corona pandemic and beneficial for practical knowledge, but teachers can’t obsess every student, and some naughty students do not focus on their studies.
