Doctors recommend that older people exercise regularly, however, not many of them have an exercise routine. Why do you think it is happening? How can people be encouraged to exercise regularly?


Exercise is crucial for human beings, be it younger or older. However, only when an individual cultivates the habit of regular exercise in his childhood it would be easy for him to exercise as he gets old. It is evident that doctors recommend older people to exercise regularly because it helps them to stay away from health problems that occur naturally due to ageing and from any kind of illness. But it is not easy as said to start doing physical exercise suddenly for elderly people and senior citizens because not many of them have a regular exercise routine.

One of the reasons many do not have the habit of a routine is due to a misconception that exercise is a fashion, and few others are in the opinion that allocating time for exercise is unwanted. Such a mindset is common among homemakers looking after the household chores, and they are in the view that their daily activities are somewhat like exercising. Also, to remark, there is no awareness among people about the benefits of exercise and about the impact it has on everyone’s health and well-being.

Nevertheless, the Government should conduct free camps to educate society to create awareness of having an exercise routine. Schools must create workshops to nurture the habit of exercise in children. Doctors can make YouTube channels to explain the advantage of regular exercise.

To conclude, I would like to insist that exercise is predominant in everyday life and maintaining a routine to do proper physical exercise is foremost. Hence, people can be encouraged by the above ways to exercise regularly.
