You Learned a Piece of News from Your Friend Regarding a Part-Time Job

You learned a piece of news from your friend regarding a part-time job at a new international company near your house. Write a letter to that company.
In your letter, you should:
Explain why you need that job
Give the details of what you can do for the company
Suggest the time that you can work

Dear Sir,

Greetings for the Day! I am an Indian national from New Delhi and at present, I am studying for a Master’s degree in Commercial Law, at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have been for there the last eight months. I am writing this letter to express my interest in working with your reputed company. Actually, I heard plenty of positive feedback about your organization from my friend, who recommended I apply as a part-time office manager in your corporation.

At the onset, I am seeking a part-time job to assist me in covering the costs of my studies. As I have mentioned that I am pursuing graduation, the college tuition fee is rather high. Apart from this I am living in a rental apartment which is not cheap and add on to my monthly expenses. Therefore, I urge to work as a part-time worker and I believe that working as an office administrator in your firm will further boost my career.

Further, I am a computer-literate and competent typist as well. In addition, I speak English and Hindi very fluently and I have been learning French for the past two years. While I studied for my degree, I worked as a part-time office manager for an import-export firm in New Delhi. I have good communication skills and could be an asset for the organization in dealing with clients Moreover, I have worked as an intern with an international company during my summer internship last year, hence I am familiar with the working culture of the international organizations.

Lastly, I would like to state that I can only work during the evenings and at weekends as I remain occupied most of the day due to my university studies. I would be ready to start immediately.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
