You recently discovered that there are plans to construct an airport in your locality. Write a letter to the local authority.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in respect of a proposal to construct an airport in Abeokuta township, the headquarter of our council.

I was going through a national daily newspaper yesterday evening when I came across the information.

This is no doubt, a good agenda from the national government because of its positive effect on the economic growth later, however, there are some likely negative outcomes that this may cause if the airport is to be constructed as early as they proposed. In the first place, destruction of properties. The suggested location consists of many edifices which required to be pulled down. In addition to that, a local stadium is situated around the vicinity which I believe that the noise from the proposed airport could be of a hindrance.

In respect of the above-mentioned challenges, it would be better if the government can move the said construction to a government reserved forest at the outskirt of the town where there won’t be much lost to people’s properties.
