The chart below gives the information about estimated world illiteracy rates by region and by gender for the year 2000, which report information written by a university lecturer.

Overall, the illiteracy rate among males and females in developed countries was low rate than in other countries. While other the highest rate of illiteracy among males and females was approximately fifty per cent in South Asia

It is quite evident from the bar graph that in 2000, the illiteracy rate among males and females in developed countries was approximately zero to four per cent. In Latin America, the illiteracy rate was the same for females and males. On the other side, in East Asia, the illiteracy rate of females was twenty per cent higher than males, with a male being ten per cent.

Furthermore, in 2000 the unscholarliness scale of females was forty-nine per cent, and the male rate was thirty per cent in Sub-Saharan Africa. Another side in south Asia highest rate of illiteracy among a female was fifty-five per cent, and the male rate was thirty-three per cent.
