Sample Answer of Talk About a Fish Market in Your Area or Talk About a Fish Market You Visited

Well, basically, I am a pure vegetarian and so did not get many chances to visit the fish markets many times. But I remember the one time when I was taken to the fish market by a friend who did not know that I am a vegetarian.

It was during my college holidays when I went to my friend’s home in Chennai to stay for a couple of days or so. My friend and I were just killing time with chitchats, and then her mom asked her to get something for which we started our journey. But unfortunately, by the time I found the reason for our travel, we had almost reached the place. It’s called the Koyambedu fish market. It’s a huge market with so many people shouting for selling fishes in their shops, few buying, few bargaining, few starting a quarrel with shopkeepers for not providing quality fishes. So many things were happening around me, and I was quite bewildered for a second seeing such a bustling street sprawled for so many acres.

Along the way, I was just seizing my nose in order to not let the foul smell enter my nose. I was just looking at the different kinds of fishes laid on the ground all over our way, how people are checking before buying any, how the marine creatures are being cleaned.

Finally, after taking a few turns in the gigantic market, we reached the shop which my friend was looking for, and she started examining the fish as soon as she reached. The shopkeeper recognized her and started getting her favourite varieties of fish from inside of his shop and started cleaning those once again in front of us before packing. Then we headed back quickly as I was a bit uncomfortable with my puking sensation.

On the whole, it was a different experience for me as I had never gone to any fish market earlier. But the sad part is that I was not good enough to bear the foul smell in the market and control my breath. I do not think I will visit any fish market again for now.

Follow-ups of Talk About a Fish Market in Your Area or Talk About a Fish Market You Visited

Question 1:- What kind of markets are there in your country?

Answer:- There are various markets for fulfilling different requirements of an individual. Like we have fruits and vegetable market, a flower market, Book market, Fishmarket and many other things. Whenever people feel like buying things in bulk, they always prefer buying from these huge markets as they can come across a range of products with many choices in front of them just in one single place. Also, people who stay near these markets utilize them for their daily shopping needs. Markets are that famous because we can get fresh stock for a bit lower rates than anywhere else.

Question 2:- What is the difference between shopping with friends and shopping alone?

Answer:- When we shop with our friends, we can get their opinion and judge quickly on what we need. This saves us a lot of time and gives us more confidence in the things we buy. As our friends also agreed on these, then these are good to be used by us, But when we do shopping on our own, we may run out of interest or time. Sometimes we may end up buying unnecessary things as no one will be with us to remind us of the purpose of our shopping.

Question 3:- Do you think small markets will disappear in the future?

Answer:- No, never. Each kind of market has its own uniqueness. Just because people are moving towards online shopping does not mean they are completely avoiding the regular street markets. Even now, most of our elders prefer buying things from markets alone instead of ordering online. Most teenagers, on the other hand, prefer offline shopping often to the present culture of shopping on the phone screens with one tap.

Question 4:- Have people’s shopping habits changed in recent years?

Answer:- Yes, we can see a tremendous change in the shopping habits of individuals. Nowadays, online shopping platforms are on the boom as people start habituating the new trend of shopping without actually checking things. But that does not mean everyone is using this all the time. As I said earlier, people like shopping offline, but when they do not have enough time to do shopping in person, they are going forward with online platforms and fulfilling their needs.

Question 5:- What are the differences between shopping in street markets and big shopping malls?

Answer:- Well, to be upfront, middle-class people could not afford the branded clothing available in high-end shopping malls. So people just go window shopping or to get an idea of the latest trends. On the other hand, in street shopping, everything is available at fair enough prices, and we can even bargain if required. So shopping malls give satisfaction to our eyes, but street shopping gives happiness to our hearts as we can buy things of our choice at a reasonable cost and make ourselves joyful by using those.
