People who cause their own illnesses through unhealthy lifestyles and poor diets should have to pay more for health care. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
Health should be the key concern of today’s life. The life expectancy of people is decreasing day by day due to improper diet and unhealthy lifestyles. I completely agree with the fact that people who create illness through their bad lifestyle and poor diet should be charged more.
On the one hand, it is difficult to follow a fit and healthy lifestyle in the busy world. Working for earning never gives us a break to consider and think about our health. The idea of good healthy living seems to be easy but difficult to follow in routine life. Everyone encounters sickness throughout their life, and paying for medicine and doctor feels bad. The people who can’t afford diet and lifestyle for their sickness free life and asking them to pay more is not thinkable.
On the other hand, if we talk about a healthy life, everyone wants it, but no one makes an effort for it. It is important to follow a good and stay fit lifestyle for illness-free life. A healthy lifestyle includes proper exercise, calories burned and good sleep, and besides that, it all will be wasted if we don’t eat a proper diet according to body needs. Paying the doctor is more difficult than spending it on a good diet and lifestyle that makes us stay fit. If the medical facility becomes expensive, everyone will start considering their health and try to live a healthy life.
In conclusion, it is right to some extent to pay more for medical issues which are caused by improper lifestyle and poor diet, but the reason behind the sickness should also be considered.
