Question 1:- Does your name have any special meaning?

Answer – My name can be translated to mercy in English; I believe my parents were asking for the Lord’s mercy to follow me through my journey in life. I never asked them why they gave me the name.

Question 2:- Is your surname very common in India?

Answer – They are numerous times l meet people who use a similar surname, and sometimes we think we are relatives but not at all. Like recently, a girl asked on Facebook if l was related to her mum, but we had never met in real life.

Question 3:- Do you like your name?

Answer – If l could get the chance would change it, l don’t adore it. Usually, when one asks for mercy, they plead, I don’t want to act all desperate.

Question 4:- Would you like to change your name?

Answer – If l could just get the time, l would switch to another name, but they are so many tiring processes that come with it.

Question 5:- Do people in India ever change their names?

Answer – In Zimbabwe, I know a lot of people who have changed their names, maybe because they have become more successful than their folks, so they change their names as they wouldn’t want to be associated with “failures.”

Question 6:- What name do people at home (your family members) call you?

Answer – They call me Tsitsi, that’s my first name or the address me as Aunty, its quite rare to be called by your name when you get married.

Question 7:- How do children celebrate birthdays in your country?

Answer – An ideal birthday celebration is one where close friends are invited, and an enormous cake is ordered, the child of cause has to blow candles as the friends sing the ” happy birthday “song, without the cake then they wouldn’t call it a birthday party.

Question 8:- How did you celebrate your last birthday?

Answer – It was a surprise birthday party held at my parents’, a few of my friends were invited, and we enjoyed the cuisine that comprised some spicy snacks that had been prepared by my mother above all the cake was marvelously baked.

Question 9:- What kinds of birthday gifts do you like to receive?

Answer – Anything would suffice as gifts are usually surprises, but I am addicted to branded handbags and shoes.

Question 10:- Is there a difference between the way you celebrated your birthday in the past and the present?

Answer – I think l have noted quite some transformation from the former. For example, these days, people prepare a unique dress code in advance for that particular day, and at times they could be T-shirts engraved with the name of the person being celebrated.
