Students should start work experience soon after college or university examination or to go for career advancements, discuss both views and give your opinion.
Some people opine that commencing work immediately after secondary school or higher institution should be encouraged while others prefer progressing in one’s career. This essay will address both issues and state my opinion.
On the one hand, people encourage college graduates to look for a job due to, firstly, poverty. In a household where for instance, a young boy fought tooth and nail to finish school, it is expected of him to find a job that will help train his other siblings and support the family. Secondly, ignorance plays a major role in one’s life, education inclusive, for example, in the part of the I come from, once one finishes college, the parents assume that everything relating to the education of that particular child has finished and then expect him to fend for himself by securing a job. It is obvious that a lot of factors can lead one to work as soon as he finishes college.
On the other hand, getting improvement in one’s work is crucial because firstly, it leads to job satisfaction. When one puts in all his best and initiative and being encouraged and recognized makes one feel on top of the world. Secondly, it attracts salary increments. As one progresses in his career through skill acquisition or obtaining more degrees, it is imperative that he or she will be promoted and wages increased too.
Conclusively, I think career progression is better and should be encouraged because of accompanying satisfaction and increased salary.
