Some people believe the aim of university education is to help graduates get better jobs. Others believe there are much wider benefits of university education for both individuals and society. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Certain individuals think that the university is much better for the graduate students to get high pay job placements, whereas some people believe that there are various positives for citizens and communities of university education. I will discuss both views and my opinion.
On the one hand, University education is very helpful for passing out students to high pay jobs because various companies visit every year in universities and select staff for their office. For instance, some industries depend on qualifications. If candidates have degrees and skills related to their company, then they take interviews. Otherwise, they remove them. However, almost every company and industry find skilled staff for their office.
On the other hand, there are many benefits for people and societies of university education. Firstly, the independence of living away from home is beneficial because it helps to develop social skills and improve as a person. A case is that many students will have to leave their families, live in halls of residence and meet new friends. As a result, their confidence will grow. Secondly, society will gain from the contribution that the graduates can make to the economy so, countries need educated people.
In conclusion, I believe that the main aim of university education is to get a good job, there are clear benefits. If everyone graduated, then it would lead to a future for individuals and society.
