Nowadays, many people are following an unhealthy diet and no exercise. Why do you think is this happening? How can this situation be corrected?
Undoubtedly, a large number of folks are not only adopting an unbalanced diet but also not indulging in physical exercises. Availability of street food and hectic schedule, in my perspective, is the apple of discords. Upcoming segments will elaborate on these two primitive causes along with progressive measures to curb these.
To embark with, delicious fast food is omnipresent all over the world. Due to divine taste and affordable cost, ready-made food is gaining ground in every street. People are readily adopting it in daily eating habits that make the present intake diet more unhealthy. What can be done to lessen the effect? Awareness campaigns. Schools and public places are the optimum places to initiate this step, wherein debate, discussion and role-plays can be performed to make children and the public aware of the deleterious effects of fast food in life. To some extent, in this way, one could mould bad eating habits towards a balanced diet.
In the contemporary era, people are multitaskers. They are affected by a sedentary lifestyle, as they are getting involved in more than one job or overtime work in order to make their future more prosperous by earning money—consequently, no time left for physical exercise. In order to encourage workers to do some health-building activities, employers can contribute substantially. They could provide short periodic breaks to get relief from the work environment and to involve in light exercises, such as walking and stretching. Moreover, some physical strength booster competitions can also organize in which participation of every worker would be mandatory.
To conclude, although bad eating habits and lack of exercise are concerning issue, it is temporary. The collaboration of the public sector and entrepreneurs can help activity to flatten the curve of these problems.
