Question 1. What was the dream job for you when you were young?
Answer – When I was young, I wanted to become a doctor as the service provided by doctors influenced me.
Question 2. Have you changed your mind about your dream job?
Answer – Yes, I have changed my mind as it is costly to become a doctor and involves many studies like MBBS, and now I want to become an accountant.
Question 3 What do you plan to do in the future?
Answer – As I said before, I wanted to pursue my higher education in accounts in a foreign country and wants to do a job as an accountant.
Question 4 What kinds of jobs are popular in your country?
Answer – In my country computer or IT, related jobs are more popular because these are well-paid jobs.
Question 5 Have you had a full-time or part-time job before?
Answer – No, I had just completed my senior secondary education in BSC public school in commerce stream and did not do any job.
Question 6 Do you often use a dictionary? If yes, how often and what for? If no, why not? If not very often, say how often and why not very often?
Answer – Yes, I use a dictionary very often, in fact daily. I am a student, and I read a lot of text related to my studies. I often encounter words I don’t know the meaning of, and I use the dictionary to look up the meaning and synonyms of different words.
Question 7 Do you prefer to use an electronic dictionary or a dictionary made of paper?
Answer – I prefer to use the electronic dictionary now as it is very convenient and I can easily search for meaning in a matter of a few seconds and at any time. I have a dictionary app downloaded on my phone.
Question 8 If someone gave you a dictionary as a gift, how would you feel?
Answer – I will feel happy and delighted, as it is a beneficial gift for me. I keep coming across new words every day, and everyone should have a dictionary.
Question 9 Do you think it would be interesting to write a dictionary? OR Do you think it would be interesting to be part of a team writing a dictionary?
Answer – Yes, I think so. It will be fascinating to understand the details of all the words, like which part of speech they form, the origin of the word, its synonyms, and many more details.
Question 10 What kind of person do you think writes a dictionary?
Answer – A person who writes a dictionary has to have an in-depth knowledge of the language and also needs to know the origin and history of the language. It requires a great deal of work and thoroughness, so the person must be very patient and thorough.
