I’m a very foodie person. I always like to try different dishes in my local area, and wherever I visit, so I would like to tell you about one of my friends whose name is Jay. He’s my roommate as well, and basically, he is an excellent cook. He initially started cooking in his college days. I knew him since then and actually he won the competition in our college which was held during our graduation he was awarded as the best cook I was fortunate enough that I got a placement in a similar company and he became my roommate initially we were very much struggling with local food since we were no more in our hometown but he told me that he I dont need to worry about that as he is a very good cook and he will take care of all three meals breakfast lunch and dinner for me the best part was that he has not been charging me for anything he prepares and gets everything from the market he needs the best dish I ever had from Jay was the Italian pizza I remember that it was a Sunday evening and we were getting bored and I was in a mood to have something very good but do you do this go with pandemic lock down we were not allowed to go out of our society but Jay through his great intelligence had already managed all the ingredients needed for the pizza and he made a delicious pizza on that lockdown evening and that was really impressive of him I really admire him and look forward to spend some more years with him I also started loving cooking seeing him the way he is doing that work and I have been doing great since then.

Question 1. What are the prospects of building a career as a cook in your country?

To be honest, not many people in my country love to be a cook because in my nation, cooking is not a respected job, and they don’t get the respect they deserve. That is what I think.

Question 2. What special dishes do you want to taste? Why?

I live in Ahmedabad, and Ahmedabad is very famous for its dishes. Still, apart from it, Surat is also very famous in Gujarat in my province, which is situated in the southern part of Gujarat. If I were given a chance, I would like to taste a special dish called locho they claim that in whatever amount you will eat closure it won’t harm your digestion system and, amazingly, that’s why I want to try it.

Question 3. What traditional food you would like your foreign friends to try?

Well, for my foreign friends I have a special dish called Gujarati thali which has all the colours of the universe. It has different tastes such as spicy sweets or so I would really want them to test it is a different test at one point in time, and they can really enjoy this dish, so I’m looking forward to my foreign friends to have a Gujarati thali.

Question 4. How often do Indian people cook at home?

In my country, people usually have two meals, lunch and dinner, so they cook two times in some areas they also like to cook breakfast because they are very much fond of having a hot breakfast, so they cook for three times but in general overall people cook for two times.

Question 5. There are more restaurants nowadays. Do you think people eat out more?

Yes, indeed, many restaurants and various continental restaurants have opened in big cities such as Mumbai Delhi Pune. Still, I don’t think people should eat outside because due to a sedentary lifestyle and busy work schedule, they are already harming their health, and they should not worsen the situation by eating outside, which is junk food and not good for their health.

Question 6. Do schools have cooking classes in your country?

Well, this is an excellent question. I would like to tell you that there is a wrong perspective in my country that only females should know how to cook and because of this wrong perspective, schools do not have cooking classes, but I think the government is also looking forward to adding them shortly.

Question 7. Do you think we should teach children how to cook?

In my opinion, every individual who is eating should know how to cook, and parents and elders should encourage their children to learn how to cook not many fancy dishes. Still, they should know how to cook basic things to be useful for them when they are studying abroad or staying away from their hometown.
