Sample Answer of Describe a Part of a City or a Town You Enjoy Spending Time in

I love spending time at my birthplace; it is in northern India, Pathankot. This place is the last city of Punjab and connects to Himachal and Jammu border.

It is a kind of hill station, and there are lots of trees and greenery all over; it is a very small town so most everyone knows each other and they are always ready to help them, and you will be surprised to know that it has the second-largest army cantonment area in the world. There are more army personnel than civilians.

I help my family with their businesses, go to market buy groceries.

Actually, I did my higher education from there, so I have many friends there. Especially 2 of them are my dearest friends. I stay at their place sometimes, we go to Himachal, as Dalhousie and Dharamshala are just an hour away from there. Even sometimes, we visit our college and meet our teachers and professors. Some of them are still there, and the main thing is even after 10 years, they remembered us. Then there are a few food joints where we go in the evening and do some munching.

Question 1:- How do public places change in towns or cities?

Majorly in cities, public places are malls and huge shopping complexes as people prefer to go there whereas in towns public places are still parks and nearby open market places.

Question 2:- What public places do old people usually go to?

As I have seen many times they usually go to the park and meet their friends, then they walk there and mostly gossip, and even some of them go to their local clubs and play games like carom and chess.

Question 3:- Why do young people like to go to public places?

Yes, I do think so, but for young people, public places are malls these days. They just go in there and sit for a couple of hours or do window shopping, and there are food courts these days, so they usually grab a bite there too.

Question 4:- Will more people move to cities in the future?

I think people will have to move to cities because of jobs, as small towns don’t have any opportunities and even youngsters these days are doing their higher education from cities so after that most of them settle there only.
