Question 1:- How do you feel about birds? (Why do you feel that way?)

I think birds are a very delightful species. They are hot-blooded vertebrates that consist of feathers, beaks, and wings. There are enormous types of birds and can be seen in different colours and sizes.

Question 2:- How do Indian people feel about birds?

I think Indians are very fond of birds. They even have them as a pet such as a parrot, lovebirds, and pigeons. For them, they are like part of the family. Also, some birds like a parrot, they even interact with them.

Question 3:- Are there many birds near your home?

Yes, there are many birds around my house. We can hear different birds such as parrots, pigeons, crows, sparrows, and even sometimes migratory birds.

Question 4:- Have you seen many different kinds of birds? (near your home)

Yes, I have seen many types of birds around my house. As I said before, some birds are usual, and they come every day.

Question 5:- Do any birds have any particular significance in India? For example, does India have a national bird?

Yes, the peacock is a national of India. It is most visible in the forest, but apart from this, it can also be seen in some cities. It looks beautiful when it opens the feathers. Even it is said that it likes the rainy season, so dances when it rains but I haven’t seen it.

Question 6:- Do you think birds should be protected? (Why? / Why not? How can they be protected?)

Yes, birds should be protected. We know most of the birds die due to a lack of food and shelter so we can provide them with food and water. Even some birds die due to captives; instead of this, we should free them. Moreover, we should not cut trees because most of the birds stay in trees. Instead, we must plant trees.

Question 7:- Do Indian people like raising (keeping) pet birds?

Yes, they do like keeping and raising birds. In India, we can see parrots as most pet birds. They even give them food and water, and also some of the parrots interact with us. Few people also keep lovebirds because they are available in different colours and look very elegant.

Question 8:- Have you ever raised (kept) a pet bird?

No, I haven’t raised a bird. Because my mom doesn’t allow me, but if in the future I would have a chance, I definitely will.
