As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing. I completely obey the above statement, and I am going to examine why job satisfaction is an important factor for individual wellbeing.

Job satisfaction is a basic thing which is expected by the majority of the people in the world. The major factor considered before applying for a job is stability and work atmosphere. To begin with, most employees expect the security of a job and a cool working environment. Natural calamities like pandemics and recessions should not harm the work of employees. For instance, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many people are left unemployed around the world, but some European countries like France, Germany, Norway, and Denmark have paid 50% of the salary from Government funds, so more people are migrating to these countries.

Another aspect is good working culture such as rules, regulations, the incentive; for example, Google and Amazon have the best working culture; employees are not pressured by deadlines and rules for employees like dress code, working time etc., so company productivity has been amplified, and more number of people are interested in doing the job at Amazon and Google. Moreover, there are many realistic expectations of the employees of the company. Since they spend more time in the office, they expect promotion in the position, appraisal in the salary, holiday trips with colleagues, celebrating birthdays with colleagues, and incentives. All these kinds of things bring little happiness to the workers and do routine work happily.

To conclude, all the needs in the job cannot be met by the company. However, some of them could be made possible once in a while so that workers too would do the work beyond the extent and try to level up the company’s name and fame in the market among their competitors.
